on the road

My husband, son, myself, our Jack Russell, a cat, and all the liquid items the movers wouldn't take were all piled in the minivan as we departed from Arizona on our way to our new home in North Dakota. We had a week to get there since the moving truck had a stop along the way so we took our time and enjoyed the ride (as much as you can with a kid and pets in the car). We were well equipped with books, movies, magazines, Nintendo DS Lite, and lots of snacks. Thanks to some friends we also had a few extras. These were given to us at our goodbye party. We decided to wait until we got to North Dakota to watch Fargo to avoid all unnecessary questions from the 4 year old in the backseat about wood chippers.
