We will be ringing in the new year together as a family at home with some fabulous munchies and my good friend Jose (margaritas). Well, I will be enjoying the liquor but I like to think that everyone will enjoy a calmer more relaxed mom so in the long run we all win, right?
I don't do resolutions cause I never keep them. But I will be setting goals for 2009. At church last Sunday our pastor mentioned how Christmas always sneaks up on us and how we are never prepared. He challenged us all to find ourselves looking back at the end of 2009 with a sense of accomplishment instead of asking where the time went and thinking I am not ready. I know this is such a simple concept yet I find myself at the end of each year wondering where the time went and wishing I had done more.
There is no better time to start fresh than now, right? So I will be taking on his challenge and I have set goals for 2009. I will also include some space to add the things I am thankful for this coming year. I will post them up in my computer hutch so that I will be reminded daily of my goals and blessings. I won't just be celebrating the new year tonight but all year long.
However you choose to celebrate 2009 I wish you and yours all the best!
